Pilar de la Horadada´s Weather Bill

Pilar de la Horadada council says it will cost over half a million euros to repair the damage caused by last month’s storms. This takes into account damage to street lights fencing, roads, and footpaths, as well as sand erosion on the beaches, with over 100 thousand euros needed for repairs to the municipality’s rural roads.
 
The authority says that it would cost over six million euros for necessary preventative measures and structures to be put into place to prevent a repeat of December’s flood damage.
