Man Arrested at Montesinos Toll with Plastic Bags Full of Marijuana

A man, who had a stash of plastic bags full of marijuana in his car, had his journey on the AP-7 brought to a premature end by Guardia Civil officers operating out of Torrevieja.

The 35-year-old Spaniard from Alicante City was nicked by the Guardia close to the exit for Los Montesinos, after the drugs were discovered at a routine check.

Twenty-one kilos of marijuana were discovered in big plastic bags in the boot, as well as underneath the back seats.

The bags were seized along with his car and 350 euro, and the end result was a charge of drug trafficking.
