Brandy Record Broken in Elche

An 81-year-old retiree from Elche (Alicante) has gained a place in the Guinness World Records for owning more bottles of Brandy than anybody else in the world.

The certificate was issued by the institution this week, recognising that 1,057 bottles of brandy is a world record, and that certificate is now framed and hung in the living room surrounded by the bottles that led to the achievement.

One of Manuel´s oldest bottles dates back to 1888, bought from a Chinese store in Barcelona.
