Spy-pen Photographer Arrested
Officers from the National Police have arrested a 43-year-old man in Valencia on suspicion of an offence against privacy, after allegedly recording a co-worker with a ballpoint pen with a secret camera hidden in it.
The victim, a 35-year-old woman, discovered the pen under the desk of her colleague and handed it in to the police.
During the investigations, the officers found out that the suspect had, in recent months, gone to the victim’s office a lot and engaged in long conversations with her, and that he displayed ‘somewhat unusual’ attitudes, such as sitting in her char as soon as she got up.
In her complaint, she said that on one particular day she felt her co-worker rubbing her with a pen and, after making several inquiries on the Internet, she found out that it could be a “spy” type, a pen with a hidden camera, with which he could have been recording.
Therefore, the victim went to his office and asked him to show her the pen, but he initially refused, resulting in her snatching it from him.
The police found that there was evidence of videos having been recorded without the victim’s consent, which included intimate footage focusing on her ‘private parts’ while she was sitting, and most of them were when she was wearing a skirt.
