Millions Invested in Costa Blanca Beaches

The regional government has spent two million euro on improvements to the beaches of the Costa Blanca this summer.

The investment has seen the installation of a 100 changing rooms, 48 playgrounds, 12 accessible bathing areas, six technological palms and 10 kilometres of fencing.

The changing rooms have been installed across the region with 37 in the Valencia province, 31 in Castellon and 32 across Alicante.

The technological palm trees are devices that allow for recharging of mobile phones and provide publicity opportunities for the tourism department.

Some of the local beaches which have gained from the investment include Torrevieja, Santa Pola, Guardamar, Pilar de la Horadada and Orihuela, amongst others.
