Take the Train to Terra Natura Animal Park

The Terra Natura animal park has become the first theme park in the Valencian Community to sign a collaboration agreement with the national Spanish train operator Renfe, with the aim of promoting the complex as a tourist destination, and its geographical environment, throughout the peninsular.

The idea is that visitors from across Spain will be able to let the train take the strain, as they visit the animal park which hosts a wide selection of creatures, and supports internal and external conservation efforts.

Whilst announcing the agreement at the FITUR tourist fair in Madrid, the Commercial Director of Terra Natura Benidorm, Javier Zapata, said, “the signing of this agreement represents a very important step in the promotion strategy that we have been developing for years, since it helps us to consolidate as a reference in leisure tourism in the Valencian Community. This agreement will give hundreds of people the unique offer of entertainment, conservation and nature that we provide in our facilities.”

Although there is no direct rail link to the park, the agreement includes the promotion on high-speed lines through audiovisual material that travellers can see during their trip. In return, Terra Natura will be responsible for publicising the services offered by Renfe Viajeros, the tour and travel section of the rail company, paying special attention to those routes of tourist or cultural interest.

Terra Natura Benidorm is a nature and animal park dedicated to family leisure that has a collection of more than 1,500 animals, of 200 different species (50 of them in danger of extinction). Its surface is divided into four areas representing the continents of America, Asia and Europe, and the area of Pangea, inspired by the origin of the Earth. Visitors to the park are immersed into the natural habitats of the animals and offered educational resources along the way, whilst being able to enjoy a fun-packed distraction from the world outside.
