A 39-year-old woman has been arrested for filing a false complaint after reporting that she had suffered a sexual assault, when she had been with a friend party and did not want to “displease” her family, as reported by the National Police of Valencia in a statement.
She is charged as the alleged perpetrator of a simulation crime. The investigations began when the agents learned that a woman had appeared at a Guardia Civil post in Valencia and stated that she had been sexually assaulted by three men and that she did not remember part of the night.
The UFAM of the National Police immediately took over the investigation and the victim was taken to hospital. Apparently, and according to the woman the day before, she had been with a friend and they had met three men with whom she was later left alone smoking and drinking with them.
The woman did not remember anything else until she woke up the next morning on a bench in the city with her underwear unbuttoned and pain in the genital area, so she went to a Guardia Civil post.
The investigations carried out by the police officers made it possible to locate the friend she had been with on the day of the events, who gave a totally different version of what happened until the moment they separated and denied that they had met anyone at the time. they were together.
With this new information, the agents spoke again with the victim, who had postponed the statement for several days, and who initially disqualified her friend’s statement and later admitted that she had made it up.
Finally, the woman has confessed that she had spent the night with another friend and did not want to upset her family, for which she has been arrested as the author of a simulation crime. The detainee, with a police record, has been brought to justice.
