Officers from the National Police have dismantled a criminal group that, allegedly, introduced cocaine impregnated in paint through postal mailings.

The officers have arrested the three members of the criminal network in Madrid and have dismantled a clandestine laboratory and a drug sale point, both installed at the home of the main culprit.
Those arrested, who imported cocaine from Ecuador through postal parcels, hid it by impregnating it or dissolving it in other substances -through the appropriate chemical process-, which made it impossible to detect it using common reagents.
In the dismantled clandestine laboratory, they extracted the cocaine base paste from the substance in which it was hidden in order to later manufacture the cocaine hydrochloride available for consumption.
