The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has awarded 111 municipalities, seven provincial councils, an island Council and two groups of municipalities, aid of 20 million euro for sustainable urban and rural pilot projects within the plans of local action of the Spanish urban agenda with charge of the European recovery funds.
This Tuesday, the Government has published the final resolution of the granting of these aids in which 121 proposals have been chosen out of the 233 that were submitted to the call published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) of September 13, for their ability to become pilot projects transferable to other places in Spain due to its “quality, uniqueness and exemplary capacity”, underlines in a press release, the Ministry led by Raquel Sánchez.
This aid program, endowed with a budget of 20 million euro, co-finances the development of these projects due to its contribution to the objectives, the methodology and the transversal, strategic and integrated approach of the AUE. Of course, the pilot projects must be completed before September 2022.
As indicated by the Ministry, the evaluation of the applications has scrupulously respected the technical and territorial balance criteria demanded by Order TMA / 957/2021 of bases and convocation, although the resolution may be appealed in replacement before the Minister within a period of one month from the day following its notification.
