The Valencian regional secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, together with the mayor of Buñol, Juncal Carrascosa, attended the reopening of the Tomatina Museum in the town, where he described the festival as “a phenomenon that contributes to and improves the value proposition, of diversity, authenticity, and differentiation around the world “.
After the visit to the Tomatina Museum, the head of Turisme and the mayor of Buñol have signed a collaboration agreement between the two entities in the town hall to carry out tourism promotion activities in the municipality.
Through this agreement, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana contributes financially with 60,000 euro to carry out actions to promote Buñol’s tourism product.
Specifically, through this agreement, the Buñol City Council has promoted ‘Buñol com a Destí’, an action that includes a cultural agenda and free events with the main axis of music, in addition to ‘Concerts segurs 2.0’, the VII Biennial of ‘Art, as well as the IV Parell Festival in Part.
In addition, through this agreement, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and the Buñol City Council establish actions aimed at promoting the Tomatina festival, declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest.
