The Generalitat facilitated the mobility of 897,812 users of the TRAM d’Alacant network during last November, 48.04% more than in the same month of 2020, which consolidates the upward trend of previous months.
This result means that during the past month 92.99% of the displacements that occurred in the same period of 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, have been made.
As a whole, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) added a total of 5,683,592 passengers between TRAM d’Alacant and Metrovalencia in November, representing an increase of 43.15% compared to the same month last year and mobilizing the 78.94% of users in 2019.
According to the distribution by lines, Line 2, which connects Luceros with San Vicent del Raspeig, was the most used with 367,473 movements; followed by Line 1, which connects Luceros and Benidorm, which reached 219,346; Line 3, which connects Luceros with El Campello, with 137,644; Line 4, which connects Luceros with Plaza La Coruña, totalled 89,856; Line 5, the link between Porta del Mar and Plaza La Coruña, accumulated 43,690; and Line 9, which runs between Benidorm and Dénia, 39,802 trips.
The day with the highest traffic was Friday the 26th, with 39,930 users, an absolute record for the current year 2021.
Luceros, the busiest station
In station traffic, Luceros once again led the ranking, with 135,835 users. It was followed by Mercado, with 80,641, and in third position Sant Vicent del Raspeig, with 53,843. In the fourth position was Benidorm, with 45,223; and in fifth Marq-Castillo, with 40,142.
As there was the possibility of buying and validating the transport tickets inside the tram, train-TRAM and conventional train units, sales and validation of road transport tickets resulted in 48,413 trips.
