Increase in Madrid to Valencia High Speed Train Service

Renfe will increase the number of AVE high-speed trains on the Madrid-Valencia route from 17 January, with four new services, two trains in each direction, between both cities, which represents a daily supply of 26 high-speed trains, 13 per direction.

The new AVE services that will serve the route between the two capitals have been scheduled to depart from Valencia Joaquín Sorolla at 8.40 am, from Monday to Thursday, and at 4.15 pm, from Monday to Sunday. In the opposite direction, the AVE that leaves at 8.45am on weekends, departing from Madrid Puerta de Atocha, will run daily, and on the other hand a daily train is scheduled, except Saturdays, leaving Atocha at 5.10pm.

According to Renfe, “the positive response of the demand has led to an increase in weekly services on the Madrid-Valencia route.” The new offer, whose tickets will go on sale as of this Wednesday, represents an increase of 1,500 seats per day.
