Another 241 deaths from Covid in a week in Spain

Another 241 deaths from Covid in Spain have been recorded in the update this week, bringing the total number of deaths to 13,670,037.

The total number of deaths so far in December, with another update due before the month closes, stands at 998. In November, the total for the whole month was 823. The average weekly death toll for the last 8 weeks is 227, therefore we look set to end December with a total number of around 1,200 people having lost their lives from Covid.

The number of Covid infections increased by 18,798 this week, to a total of 13,670,037 confirmed by testing, although only a small portion of the population are tested.
