Treat for Jazz Fans as Fijazz 23 Comes to Alicante
Alicante will host the Fijazz 23 Festival that will take place between July 13 and 29, fusing jazz, flamenco, Latin and world music on the stage of the provincial auditorium, ADDA, with figures such as Stanley Clarke, Eliane Elias, Toquinho, and the Metropole Orkest, the largest big band in the world.
The deputy for Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro, launched the event along with the cultural director of the ADDA, Josep Vicent.
Josep Vicent explained that all the performances this year open the doors between styles and he has described each one of them. “We are facing a consolidated event and, on this occasion, with the Metropole Orkest as the backbone of the programming together with all the presence of creativity in the field of Spanish and international jazz, without forgetting the look at the B side of each one of the performances, with inimitable voices, great personality and incredible quality.”
Nearly 100 people make up the Metropole Orkest, a multi-Grammy Award-winning jazz and pop orchestra that is considered the world’s largest ensemble of its kind. Their performance, along with the singer Kandace Spring, will take place on Tuesday the 18th.
Tickets are already on sale at www.addaalicante.es, Instanticket and at the Auditorium box office.
