The Secretary General of the PSOE, and President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will once again star in a pre-election campaign from today, with the socialist candidate for the Mayor of Málaga, Daniel Pérez, and will celebrate his first act in Seville on the 13th of May for the electoral campaign for the local and regional elections on May 28, immediately after returning from a meeting at the White House with the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden.
Specifically, Pedro Sánchez will participate in an event with the socialist candidate for Mayor of Málaga and general secretary of the PSOE of the province, Daniel Pérez, at 6:30 p.m. this evening at the Hotel NH Málaga, according to the PSOE, which will offer a live broadcast of the event, via satellite, and will also broadcast it on its YouTube channel.
It will be the second time so far this year that the General Secretary of the PSOE and President of the Government participate in an act that will serve as support for the socialist candidate in Málaga, with whom he already shared the stage on February 12 at another rally in the capital of the Costa del Sol, which also included the participation of the general secretary of the Andalusian PSOE, Juan Espadas.
The city of Málaga is one of the ‘bastions’ of the PP in Andalusia, and has been governed uninterruptedly since 2000 by the ‘popular’ Francisco de la Torre, who at the age of 80 is running for re-election in the elections on 28 of May.
Seville is the main Spanish city by population currently governed by the PSOE, which is therefore of special importance in view of the socialist strategy for these municipal elections, and where the socialist leader opened his agenda of political events in Andalusia this year 2023 with one on January 14 precisely to present Antonio Muñoz as a socialist candidate for mayor of Seville.
