A three-year-old girl has died in Torrevieja, as confirmed by sources from the Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU).
The emergency services received a notice at around 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday evening that there was a girl lying near a swimming pool, and that she could have fallen from a balcony.
Two emergency ambulances were sent to the scene, including a paramedic SAMU unit, and upon arrival the team performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other stabilisation techniques on the girl.
The medical crew transferred the girl to Torrevieja Hospital but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Guardia Civil has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the event, according to sources from the Armed Institute.
