A website and a mobile application will allow you to follow the results of the 28M local elections live

The Government has developed a specific website and mobile application to follow live the results of the local elections on May 28, in which the mayors and councillors of the municipalities throughout Spain are elected, in addition to the members of the Island Councils of the Canary Islands and the representatives of the Assemblies of Ceuta and Melilla.

Both the website, available from Sunday at the link https://resultados.locales2023.es , and the application for mobile devices “28M Elecciones Locales 2023”, now downloadable and can be changed to English in the configuration menu, in the markets of the Android and iOS platforms.

Among the novelties of the web platform and the app, a graph is incorporated for the first time that will allow to know in real time the number of votes pending to reach the last councillor in dispute in each constituency and which are the candidacies involved. In addition, a virtual majority simulation tool will be included that will make it easier for users to calculate the possible agreements that guarantee an absolute majority in the different municipalities, councils and assemblies of Ceuta and Melilla.

The polling station constitution section offers graphs on the number of polling stations constituted and the percentage they represent over the total number of existing polling stations, in addition to statistics on the census and number of voters, with the information broken down by municipalities and councils.

The web space reserved for Participation will show the graphs of participation progress at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and their comparison with the same time slots in the local elections held in 2019. The data will also be available by autonomous community, provinces and municipalities through a drop-down menu.

From 9:00 p.m., after the closure of the polling stations in the Canary Islands, the website and the mobile application will begin to receive the first results of the scrutiny in the different polling stations, which can be consulted in real time from the Provisional Results section.

The graphs will show the distribution of councillors throughout the national territory, including the comparison with the results in the last local elections, in May 2019, and will allow consulting the absolute and relative majorities obtained by each candidacy. From the search engine you can also access the results of the 8,228 municipalities, the island councils and the Assemblies of Ceuta and Melilla.

A space included in the results section will allow the user to carry out specific queries for candidacies to find out the number of votes by party or group, the councillors obtained in each case and the percentage of votes obtained out of the total number cast.

The user will also be able to find out the final participation rate at the closing of the polling stations, with the abstention data and the numbers of votes cast, valid, blank and null in each municipality, as well as its comparison with the local elections of 2019.

The platforms also have an interactive map that allows a direct search for the winning candidacy in each autonomous community and municipality.
