A Local Police officer from Burjassot will be in court in Valencia today, Thursday, not giving evidence against a suspect, but rather defending himself as he is on trial accused of slapping a man who had been stopped on a street in the municipality.
The facts date back to June 23, 2019. The Prosecutor’s Office requests a fine of 4,320 euro for him for a crime of injury.
According to the public accusation, the agent asked the victim to stop, and he did so, but not until after continuing for 50 metres. The policeman caught up with him and allegedly slapped him on the left side of the face, which punctured his eardrum, among other injuries.
The oral hearing is scheduled for June 1, starting at 11:30 a.m., in the third section of the Provincial Court of Valencia.
