The national average value of accumulated rainfall from the beginning of the hydrological year (October 1, 2022) to August 1 is estimated at 483 l/m 2 (around 15% less than the normal value corresponding to said period, 572 l/m 2).
The accumulated quantities are below their normal values in a large part of the Peninsula and the Canary Islands, highlighting the northeast and southwest quadrants of the peninsula, in areas of the Cantabrian coast, in points of Cuenca and inland Valencia and in the eastern Canary Islands.
On the other hand, rainfall exceeds normal values in the eastern part of the Balearic Islands.
