Jealous Facebook friend attacker in court
The Provincial Court of Ciudad Real will judge a man on Tuesday for attacking another who had requested friendship through the social network Facebook from his ex-girlfriend, and for whom the Prosecutor’s Office is requesting 4 years in prison. The Prosecutor’s Office charges the accused with a crime of injuries with less serious deformity, according to the document of provisional conclusions.
The events took place in September 2021, when the accused in Ciudad Real addressed the victim and asked for explanations for having requested to be “friends” through Facebook with his ex-girlfriend. In an intimidating tone, he began to tell him: “I’m going to beat you up, I’m going to kill you, you’re a faggot and a dog.” Then, very aggressively, he threw him to the ground and hit him several times with a closed fist in the face. As a result, the victim suffered head trauma, lost several teeth and suffered some after-effects.
In addition to the prison sentence, the accused faces compensating the victim in the amount of 500 euro for the days of healing and stabilisation of the injuries and an additional 3,146.31 euro for the consequences suffered.
