Taxi drivers will take part in a “slow drive” protest through the streets of Barcelona on Wednesday, to denounce the death of Carlos Ríos, a taxi driver who died last Sunday in Barcelona after being attacked by a motorcyclist.
The protest was announced by the Elite Taxi spokesperson, Tito Álvarez, who detailed that the service will be stopped between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. for a slow drive that will take place in the city centre.
Specifically, Álvarez has indicated that the vehicles will leave from Plaza Espanya and that they plan to travel along Gran Via from calle Bailén to Entença, reaching Paseo de Gràcia.
“The death of our colleague is a homicide, and tomorrow we will ask for justice and that this event is not forgotten,” he claimed during an address on Tuesday.
