The average value of accumulated precipitation from the beginning of the hydrological year (October 1, 2023) until November 14 is estimated at 146 l/m 2 (30% more than the normal value of 112 l/m 2, corresponding to said period).
The quantities are above their normal values in much of the western half of the Peninsula, in the western half of the Pyrenees and in the north of the island of Gran Canaria.
Furthermore, in the central strip of the peninsula, together with Galicia, the northwest of Castilla y León and the north of Huesca, rainfall is more than double the average value.
While the eastern third of the Peninsula, the Cantabrian coast from Asturias to the Navarrese Pyrenees, points in the east and south of Andalusia and the two archipelagos, except the northern half of Gran Canaria, are below normal values.
