Guardia Civil receives 187 new vehicles

The Guardia Civil received a total of 187 new vehicles this week that join its renewed fleet to be used by units from all Commands.

The delivery includes 117 new Renault Megane with electric motors and 70 BMW X-3 hybrids. The total value of these vehicles received today amounts to more than 9.5 million euro and are financed by the Next Generation EU Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Funds.

The 117 Renault Megane vehicles have a 160 kW electric motor with a range of 438 km and a 0 environmental label. They have been awarded for an amount close to 5.5 million euro.

On the other hand, 70 BMW are funded by the Next Generation EU Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Funds.

The Guardia Civil has also received 24 Ssangyong brand vehicles, Rexton Pro 4×4 model.

Seven of these cars are equipped with a patrol kit, anti-run-in front bumper and tow hook. In total the amount amounts to 890,619 euro.

During 2023, the Guardia Civil has added a total of 676 vehicles to its fleet with 578 vehicles and 98 motorcycles. With these investments, well above the replacement average of the last 10 years, the aim is to advance a modern, efficient and sustainable vehicle fleet.
