Pre-Owned, Zara’s platform to sell your second-hand clothes or repair them, will arrive in 14 new European markets, including Spain, on Tuesday.
With this initiative, customers will have access to services such as repair, sell, or donate, through its website, mobile application and physical stores.
According to the textile company, Zara Pre-Owned has been operational in the United Kingdom for a year and in France since last September, and will now arrive in Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Portugal.
Starting today, Pre-Owned will be available in the main menu of ‘Zara.com’, along with the ‘women’, ‘men’, ‘kids’ and ‘beauty’ categories.
Within the Pre-Owned universe, users will have available repair services for used clothing that will be carried out with local suppliers. This service can be processed entirely online or in the Zara store of your choice.
You can also buy and sell used Zara clothing from any collection. The sales space is organised by product categories with detailed information on each item, including Zara’s original information on the garment and current images provided by the seller.
Finally, it can be donated to non-profit entities by requesting the collection of the garment at home. This service accepts products from any brand.
The new platform is part of the Inditex group’s sustainability commitments for the coming years, which include that by 2030 around 40% of the fibres used by Inditex brands will be the result of conventional recycling processes.
