The trial against a man accused of a possible sexual assault on his wife’s daughter from the age of 7 to 17 will begin today, Tuesday, in the Third Section of the Provincial Court of Cantabria.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the man took the opportunity when he was alone with the girl to touch her, “even penetrating her vaginally when she was nine years old and, from the time she turned eleven, also anally.”
The minor presents “symptoms compatible with post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety-depressive symptoms, as well as social damage or injury with negative repercussions in different areas of their personal, family, social and sexual emotional life.”
The Public Ministry considers him the author of a continuous crime of sexual assault, requesting 14 years in prison, then six years of supervised freedom, and disqualification from working with minors for sixteen years.
In terms of civil liability, it quantifies the compensation for the minor at 24,000 euro.
