On Saturday, 30,066 candidates will sit an exam in 28 locations throughout Spain in the hope of obtaining one of the 11,607 places offered for Specialised Health Training in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and the degrees from the field of Psychology, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
In general terms, two thirds of the applicants will be unsuccessful, although there are 436 more places on offer in this latest recruitment drive, an increase of 5% compared to last year.
Specifically, in the Medicine degree the offer is 8,772 places (an increase of 3%), of which 614 places are reserved for people with disabilities. The specialty with the greatest offer is Family and Community Medicine with 2,492 places. 13,990 doctors aspire to these positions.
The offer of the Nursing degree amounts to 2,108 places, 7% more than in the previous call, of which 148 are reserved for people with disabilities. The Nursing specialty with the largest offer of places is Family and Community Nursing with 891 places. The number of Nursing applicants is 9,010.
In the rest of the degrees, the offer is 340 places in Pharmacy and the number of applicants is 1,559, 247 places offered for degrees in the field of Psychology and 3,850 applicants, 65 places offered in Biology and 1,071 applicants, 48 places in Physics and 305 applicants and 27 places in Chemistry attended by 279 applicants.
The FSE access tests, which will consist of 200 questions plus 10 reserve questions, will begin at 4:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. in the Canary Islands) and applicants will join the classrooms from 3:00 p.m. (2:00 p.m. in the Canary Islands).
The tests are carried out in 28 examination locations, at least one per autonomous community, and in 622 examination tables, two of them located in the Ministry of Health.
More than 2,000 people will collaborate in their proper development, acting as centre delegates, auditors and members of the examination tables or as members of the seven qualifying commissions.
