Airport parking for motorbikes is a thing
If you’ve ever been on a flight and thought the one thing missing in this travel chain is a space to leave your motorbike, then the good news is that Barcelona is set to become the airport to fulfil your desires.
Starting on 6 February, the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport will have a new space for controlled parking of motorcycles. The surface parking lot at Terminal T1 will be reorganised to incorporate 930 controlled spaces for this type of vehicle.
The creation of this controlled space for motorcycles will improve the safety of this type of vehicle and the organisation of accesses and passage areas, as well as increase the availability of parking for users who use this means of transport to travel to the airport.
Likewise, the free spaces for motorcycles in Terminal T2 have been improved, which will now have five areas for free parking of this type of vehicle. These spaces are distributed at different points located along the front of the terminal, near the stops of the free shuttle between T2B and T2C terminals, to facilitate the transfer of those users who need to travel to Terminal T1.
For the launch of the new car park, indicative signage has been increased and information actions will be carried out to inform airport staff and occasional users of the new accesses, their operation and parking alternatives.
