The Court of Pontevedra, at its headquarters in Vigo, will host the trial from today against two people accused of falsifying documents in an inheritance for whom they request a sentence of four years in prison.
The Prosecutor’s Office document states that the accused’s brothers filed a lawsuit to claim payment of their inheritance from their mother’s will. Both defendants, husband and wife, guided by a “spirit of illicit enrichment” and previously agreed, developed a plan to respond to said procedure.
The couple filed a lawsuit requesting the annulment of the partition notebook where they also claimed a credit right of more than 48,6000 euro for works and improvements in their mother’s home that was the object of the inheritance.
In this way, a procedure was opened in the Court of First Instance number 7 of Vigo where the accused, “aware of their mendacity”, presented for their union and use in the case, six fraudulent invoices where the accused appears as an invoiced client. All this with the aim of avoiding paying more than 10,320 euro for the participation that corresponded to each of the brothers.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office indicates that the facts constitute a crime of falsification of a commercial document in a medial competition with a crime of procedural fraud. Therefore, he requests a four-year prison sentence for the accused.
