The Guardia Civil arrested five people, and investigated a sixth, dedicated to stealing perfumery items from a well-known commercial chain in the province of Malaga.
Several complaints from different establishments of this same chain put the Guardia Civil on alert, who discovered that they were the same group of people.
In total, more than 10 robberies and thefts have been recorded in establishments in Alhaurín el Grande, Alhaurín de la Torre, Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Málaga capital.
They entered stores to steal colognes and perfumes, breaking the alarm systems and hiding them inside bags or among their own underwear. Meanwhile, other people were in charge of distracting the shop assistants to get their attention so that the rest could steal as many items as possible.
After committing the assaults, they would leave the establishment in a hurry and if they were surprised by workers, they would confront them and even threaten to attack them.
The investigation by the Guardia Civil has allowed the identification of six people, including a minor, who have been brought to justice accused of belonging to a criminal organisation, continued crime of robbery and theft, injuries and threats.
The judicial authority has issued an order to restrain these people from the establishments of the perfumery chain. The minor is currently in a juvenile centre.
