The Second Section of the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands will hear evidence from today, Tuesday, against a 29-year-old man accused of sexually abusing a woman while she was sleeping.
The prosecution is asking for a sentence of seven years and six months in prison for the crime of sexual abuse with penetration. In addition to the prison sentence, it is seeking compensation of 15,000 euro for the victim, as well as a restraining order for 15 years and seven years of supervised release.
The incident dates back to July 2021, in Palma de Mallorca, when, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, the defendant allegedly touched the woman while she was sleeping and then stripped her and penetrated her while she was drowsy from alcohol and drug use.
