As of July 15, the Social Security has registered 21,416,521 members. This is 96,116 more people than at the end of June.
Discounting seasonality and the calendar effect, 337,992 jobs have been created since the beginning of 2024, a figure in line with pre-pandemic levels, reaching 21,180,928 affiliates, with an increase of more than 29,000 people in the last two fortnights.
According to data up to July 15, the total number of members has increased by 506,864 in the adjusted series, in the last year, and by 1.82 million people since before the start of the pandemic.
The Minister for Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, highlights that “the labour market remains dynamic. As of 15 July, we have exceeded 21.4 million members and are approaching 21.2 million employed people if we discount seasonality and the calendar effect.”
