In the sixth time that the awards have been presented, three companies from the Alicante province have been awarded by the La Caixa organisation, for their commitment to employment from vulnerable groups as part of their corporate social responsibility.
Locally, the Camping Resort Internacional La Marina, Alcampo La Zenia and the Fundación Juan Carlos Pérez Santamaría, have been awarded for their work, along with other companies from the region, Limpiezas Amparo Cifuentes, Bricomart Castellón and the Asociación de Vendedores del Mercado Central de Valencia.
In the category of small business, which has under 50 employees, the Camping Resort Internacional La Marina has been awarded, along with the Fundación Juan Carlos Pérez Santamaría, based in Petrer, which is an organisation dedicated to the care, support and promotion of persons with physical illnesses or disabilities.
In the category of medium enterprises, of between 50 and 250 employees, the Limpiezas Amparo Cifuentes cleaning company based in Valencia was awarded.
As for the large companies, that have more than 250 employees, it is the Alcampo hypermarket in the Zenia Boulevard which has been recognised for their efforts, along with the Bricomart Castellón and the Vendedores del Mercado Central de Valencia.
The program of social integration into the workplace has already facilitated work for 678 vulnerable people across Valencia this year, an increase of the 563 of the same period in 2013, finding jobs for people such as those with disabilities, immigrants, ex-convicts, the long-term unemployed, young people or vulnerable victims of gender violence.
The program has been in operation since 2006, with the collaboration of 18 social entities specialised in working with groups at risk of exclusion across Valencia, and with a network of 37 job developers that provides the bridge between those entities and businesses.
