Retired Cop Denounces Torrevieja Police

A 59 year old retired police officer from Madrid has denounced members of the local police in Torrevieja, complaining of their violent treatment, after they allegedly used disproportionate “punches, kicks and all sorts of bumps”, after the man was involved in an escalating disagreement in a bar in the city.

Similarly, the police have accused the man of refusing their authority. The incident allegedly occurred after the man had asked for food after the establishment had already closed.
