Spanish Actor Antonio Banderas will star in a film about the epic adventure of 33 Chilean miners who were trapped 700 metres underground in Chile for two months. Mexican film maker Patricia Riggen will be making the film, currently entitled “The 33”, but has refused to confirm which of the real life characters Banderas will play. However, this announcement also coincides with one made by a Chilean director, Rodrigo Ortúzar Lynch who is making the film, “Los 33 de Atacama”, which is likely to have a number similarities as the subject is also about the 33 miners and their plight underground.
A 25 year old Guardia Civil officer from Murcia is raising a few eyebrows, after he has reached the national finals of a gay men´s beauty contest, and is now to represent the region in the national Mr Gay Pride competition. Ángel Fernández said he was “very pleased with the support” he received from friends and family and he is proud to represent the province of Murcia.
