A 62 year old woman managed to embed her car into the front of a Badajoz butchers shop today, after apparently becoming distracted at the wheel.
The woman was said to have become nervous whilst carrying out a parking manoeuvre, hitting the car´s accelerator, rather than the brake, shooting forward and becoming embedded under the half closed shutter of the shop.
The owner of the “Cerrato” shop said that he was preparing to close his store, so the shutters were half way down, and was suddenly disturbed by a loud bang.
Luckily, there were no injuries from the incident, other than the damage caused to both the car and the shop front.
