Government of Spain increases protection under public health system, social policies and equality in 2014 Budget

30/09/2013. The budget allocated to the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality for 2014 amounts to 1.91 billion euros. This figure, which represents one of the greatest efforts by the Government of Spain within the current climate of austerity and is aimed at meeting the deficit target, constitutes an increase of 3.2 million euros (0.16%) on the same budget for 2013 in an overall context in which the ministerial budgets are being reduced by an average of 4.7%.
