Angry Speeder Rams Radar Car

A driver caught speeding by the Guardia Civil on Sunday decided to take revenge for his wrongdoing by turning around and ramming the patrol car.

The incident happened on the PO-331 main road in Pontevdra when the vehicle passed a camouflaged radar car.

Apparently knowing that he had been exceeding the speed limit, the driver of the offending vehicle then turned around and rammed the patrol car.

Witnesses were said to be horrified at the manner in which the offender drove towards the radar car, seemingly with the intention of destroying the radar equipment that was installed in the vehicle

The officer was injured in the attack and had to be airlifted to hospital.

The occurrence of such acts is becoming an increasing risk for the Guardia Civil as they go about their patrols.
