Summer Building Work Banned

Elche town hall has announced that they will be amending the building and construction ordinance in order to prohibit building work taking place in the Arenales and La Marina areas during the summer months.

The move is expected to be approved in the next plenary session on Monday and has come about after holidaymakers complained over disturbances caused by major construction work during this summer.

The only work which will be permitted will be on public roads and infrastructure, and will be kept to a minimum.
