Another Record for Alicante-Elche Airport

Alicante-Elche airport has, as expected, recorded a record-breaking year for 2016, with the largest number of passengers using the facility since it opened in 1967. 12,344,945 people used the airport last year, some 16.7 percent more than in 2015, which in itself was a record.

UK travellers led the list of international passengers in 2016, standing at five point two million, with Germany way back in second at 877,000, followed by Holland on 770,000 and Norway on 754,000.
