A Torrevieja-based car dealer was tasered as he was robbed of keys to his vehicles by four people, who then proceeded to steal four cars that he had in a unit in the city.
Two men, a 60-year-old German and a 48-year-old Russian, and two women, a 46-year-old German and a 36-year-old Russian, were arrested by the Guardia Civil in connection with the robberies at their homes in Quesada and Guardamar. The victim told the Guardia that he had met his assailants before.
The incident happened on Thursday March 23rd, when the group met the Lithuanian dealer and one of the women fired a taser at him several times, before a briefcase was snatched containing keys to his fleet. Whilst the dealer went for medical treatment ahead of reporting the assault, the robbers did not waste any time in going to his car lot, and stealing four vehicles, which were recovered by the Guardia at their homes, along with the briefcase and the taser used in the attack.
The four accused have appeared in court and have been charged with violent robbery, but have been released on bail.
