More than 176 tons of food destined for disadvantaged people has been seized for failing to comply with health regulations.

The Guardia Civil has investigated two members of a non-profit organisation for an alleged crime against public health.
The operation began as a result of the anomalies detected by the staff of the Agriculture Area of the Government Delegation in Galicia in the inspections carried out.
The investigated entity belonged to the network of Distribution Associated Organisations (OAR), which are responsible for delivering food from the food aid programs of the European Aid Fund for the most disadvantaged (FEAD).
They had hidden this food during previous inspections of the program for presenting different types of irregularities to the quality and food safety regulations and management of the aid programs.
