The events occurred in 2016. The detainee sexually abused a 13-year-old boy with whom he had family ties and who had a 38% delay in maturation. The minor was also being subjected to a study to determine the existence of some other more serious deficit.

It was an individual with proven ability to evade police action. He made use of the difficulties offered by the environment in which he hid to avoid any type of surveillance or control, and he relied on the cover offered by his family to keep himself hidden.

From the initial steps taken in 2019, it emerged that his entire environment resided in a suspicious address in Torrejón de Ardoz. Although, the person sought did not appear as the owner of any property, as well as of any vehicle or telephone line in Spanish territory, finding out that he used certain people from his
family environment in order to go unnoticed by the Security Bodies and leave no trace that would allow their presence to be identified.

He didn’t even look out the window for fear of being seen

During the last two years, numerous inquiries and procedures have been carried out in collaboration with different sources, in addition to surveillance of their family environment and the suspicious home. Unlike the other members of his family, in no case was the fugitive observed leaving the home. Likewise, it was found that all the members of his family nucleus accessed the home by ringing the bell, and never with a key, which showed that there was always a person locked inside the apartment. This person was later found to be the fugitive.

All the evidence that pointed to the fugitive being cloistered in the family home collected. With this information, the agents established a police device in the vicinity of the home and after entering the house, the fugitive was found and detained by the agents.

Already in the police station, he acknowledged that he had been locked up for four years without leaving his home, and that he did not even look out the window for fear of being seen. He affirmed that the only time he left his home was because he had suffered a very serious episode of COVID-19 that left him on the brink of death, for which he was hospitalized posing as his brother and using his ID.
