The number of hospitalised by Covid grows 18% in the last week, ICUs 13% and 619 deaths

The number of people hospitalised for coronavirus in Spain has grown by 17.8% during the last week, with significant increases in all the autonomous communities, except the Balearic Islands. There has also been a 13.1% rise in Covid-19 patients in intensive care and the Ministry of Health has reported 619 new deaths from the pandemic since last Friday.

Specifically, Health reported this Friday of 12,080 people currently hospitalised in Spain, 1,831 more than the previous Friday, on July 1, when 10,249 hospitalised patients were reported. Meanwhile, this Friday, July 8, there are 508 people in the ICU, 59 more people than last Friday.

ANDALUSIA

In the report of Friday, July 8, Andalusia has 737 people hospitalised for coronavirus, while in the report of July 1 it had 622 patients, which represents a rise of 18% in this last week. It has six fewer patients in intensive care since last Friday and has reported 41 deaths in the last week.

ARAGON

It has four more patients in intensive care since last Friday and has reported 10 deaths since the last week.

CANARY ISLANDS

It has five more patients in intensive care since last Friday and has reported 25 deaths since the last week.

CANTABRIA

In the report of Friday, July 8, Cantabria has 71 people hospitalised for coronavirus, while in the report of July 1 it had 47 patients, which represents a rise of 51% in this last week. It has one less patient in intensive care since last Friday and has reported 8 deaths since the last week.
