Covid infection trend in Spain on an upward trajectory

The Ministry of Health has reported an additional 8,114 Covid infections since the last update on Friday, bringing the total to 13,431,098. Although the number of new infections has dropped in this update, a normal pattern for a Tuesday compared to a Friday, the overall trend over the last 4 weeks is upward.

In addition, there has been another 83 deaths from Covid since the Friday update. Again, as is normal, this is lower than the 95 recorded on Friday, but higher than the comparative figure on Tuesday last week, when 75 deaths were recorded. The current number of people who have died from Covid in Spain stands at 114,262.
