Persistent child abuse suspect in court

Published

on

The Provincial Court of Alicante will begin to hear evidence from today, Thursday, against a man accused of sexually abusing two girls, daughters of his sentimental partner, for ten years.

The accused began living with the woman and her children in 2007, in a house in a municipality in the Vinalopó region.

The Prosecutor’s Office maintains that the man took advantage of the moments in which the mother was resting to be alone with one of the victims, who were eight and ten years old when the abuse began, to subject them to touching their private parts while the girls were asleep, and then also when they were awake, at which time he used the excuse of giving them a massage.

This behaviour lasted for at least ten years. The minors did not report what happened to her mother until 2020, when the woman ended the relationship with him, according to sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV).

The public prosecution considers him the author of two continuous crimes of sexual abuse of minors and requests 12 years in prison for the defendant.
