The Mayor of Orihuela, Carolina Gracia, has announced that work will start next week on repairing rural roads in the municipality, including those on the Orihuela costa, so if you have a favourite pothole, you might want to take the opportunity to say goodbye.

Specifically, work will begin to patch up rural roads by the Department of Rural Development in Torremendo, Camino de en Medio, El Mudamiento, La Matanza, Molins, Hurchillo, Barbarossa, La Murada, Virgen del Camino, La Aparecida, El Arenal, Raiguero de Bonanza, La Campaneta, Arneva, Desamparados, Correntías, El Escorratel, Media Legua , Camino Viejo de Callosa, San Bartolomé and the rural roads of the coast.

Gracia explained that with this action “which had been pending for years, even before DANA” they will correct the deficiencies and irregularities of the soil through patching, through a minor works contract for an amount of 48,380 euro (IVA included).
