The trial of the two people involved in a massive fruit scam will start today, Thursday, in the Fourth Section of the Provincial Court of Valencia.
The Prosecutor’s Office has requested six years in prison for a continued crime of fraud and another of falsifying a commercial document for each of the two men accused of deceiving a Beneixida fruit company with the purchase of merchandise worth more than 100,000 euro.
The events occurred between December 2016 and January 2017, when the defendants and the injured company agreed to supply the fruit in eight shipments for which they had to pay 108,800 euro, which they never paid.
The public accusation adds that the defendants altered the international consignment notes of several of the shipments to avoid the identification of the merchandise.
