The Second Section of the Provincial Court in Albacete will hear evidence from today, Monday, against a man for whom the Prosecutor’s Office is requesting 4 years and 10 months in prison for trying to kill his grandmother with a fork.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, at around 9:49 p.m. on August 12, 2022, the defendant, AJRF, born in Colombia in 2001, and his grandmother, were at the home where they both lived in Albacete. At one point, the grandmother reproached her grandson that he had the music too loud, for which a dispute began between the two, in which the grandmother told her grandson that he would have to leave the house.
After what was said by the grandmother, the defendant, with the intention of causing her death, took a fork and, with it, repeatedly pricked the woman in different parts of her body, causing her to bleed profusely, at which point she began to scream for help, saying that her grandson was going to kill her.
The defendant, when his grandmother was on the ground, also kicked her several times in different parts of her body. The grandmother’s screams were heard by some residents of the property, who proceeded to call the Police, with several crews immediately showing up.
Upon arrival, the agents heard the woman’s voices and saw blood under the door, so they opened it with a battering ram, finding the bloodied grandmother asking for help. The defendant upon seeing the agents threw himself to the ground, with his hands behind his neck. According to the prosecutor’s account, if the woman had not been treated urgently by the doctors, her life would have been in serious danger. The woman took 90 days to heal from her wounds.
