The Partido Popular in the Valencia community (PPCV) has regained control of both the region and the city of Valencia, although the far-right group Vox has also made headway, and may be called upon to support the governing.
The socialist PSPV have been in charge of the region for the last 8 years and have presided over a disastrous change in the healthcare management, including in Torrevieja hospital.
With the new head of the PP, Carlos Mazón, the group managed to double its number of deputies compared to 2019, from 19 to 40. Meanwhile, Vox, with Carlos Flores, has risen from 10 to 13 seats. Ciudadanos, which presented Mamen Peris as head of the list, has not entered the regional Parliament and has suffered a total collapse with 1.48% of the votes and the loss of the 18 deputies it had.
Regarding the PSPV of Ximo Puig –until now president of the Generalitat– they achieved 31 seats, which is in fact 4 more than in the last elections. Compromís, with Joan Baldoví, obtained 15 (down 3) and Unides Podem, with Héctor Illueca, disappeared from Les Corts and lost the 8 representatives it had.
