Published

The fifth section of the Provincial Court of Valencia will hear evidence from today, Tuesday, against a man accused of two crimes of sexual abuse of a minor under 15 years of age whom he had met through a social network, and for whom the Prosecutor requests 24 years in prison.

According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the defendant and the victim were in contact in December 2020, and talked for days until they arranged a first meeting in January 2021 in an abandoned building in a municipality in La Ribera, where they had consensual sex, and the situation he repeated two weeks later.

The public prosecution maintains that the victim presents a cognitive immaturity with a mental age lower than their real age, according to the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV).

Also on Tuesday, the fourth section of the Provincial Court begins the trial of a man who stored paedophile-type audiovisual content in his home in Valencia, and is therefore accused of an alleged crime of corruption of minors in the form of possession of pornographic materials, and for which the Prosecutor’s Office asks for a year in prison.

The files were located on June 7, 2022, when the defendant’s home was entered and searched, and six files of sexual content were located in which minors appeared.
